Jimmie Lee Simmons died May 10, 1979 in Altus, Oklahoma. Services were held at the New Hope Baptist Church at 10:00 am on Monday May 15th officiated by Rev. Cooper Eli. Burial was in Lank Lamoor Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
Ms. Simmons was born Jimmie Lee Miles, the daughter of Tim and Mellisa Miles in Texas. She married Willie Simmons on Christmas Day 1947 in Dallas, Texas. They spent 32 wonderful years together before her death. Jimmie had been a resident of Altus since 1964 where she enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a very active and devoted member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Jimmie Lee Simmons is survived by her husband, of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; Leroy Simmons of the home; Jack Simmons, Dallas, Texas; Mary Simmons, Dallas, Texas; Lillie May Simmons, Altus, Oklahoma; Roxie Curry, Altus, Oklahoma; Vela Miles, Dallas, Texas; Tim Miles, Ennis, Texas and Jay Miles, Ennis, Texas.
