SPENCER

Jimmy Darrell Spencer, age 75, of Blair, passed away at his residence, Tuesday, February 25, 2014.

Mr. Spencer was born in Telephone, Texas on June 18, 1938, to James Washington and Rena Esther (Simpson) Spencer. Growing up in Texas, Jimmy moved to Southwest Oklahoma in 1972 and worked at Pool"s Machine Shop, as a machinist. In 1987, he began driving a truck for Edmond Motor Freight until his retirement in 2000. On June 18, 1988, he married the love of his life, Peggy Louise Kovar, and they spent the next twenty-five wonderful years together before his death. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and camping out.

Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, C.W. Camp and two sisters, Mary Jo Richarson and Faye Brack, he is survived by his wife, Peggy, of the home; two sons, Darrell Spencer of Cleburne, Texas and Brian Spencer and wife Mary of Cleburne; three grandchildren, Tana, Heather and Dusty; two great grandchildren; one brother, Bryce Spencer and wife Pat of Ft. Worth, Texas along with many other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Jimmy"s wishes, he will be cremated and a private family service will be held.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory of Altus.
