Obituary for Joan LaRaye Stiles
Joan LaRaye Stiles, 63, of Altus died July 6, at home. She was born October 8, 1941 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Edgar and Dorothy (Marsh) Rickey.
Ms. Stiles was a bookkeeper for many years. In 1979 she graduated from Brown Mackie College in Salina, Kansas with a degree in business administration. In 1989 she received a degree in human services from Central Community College in Hastings, Nebraska.
She enjoyed volunteered with the community theater. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Altus.
She is survived by a sister Karen Leys of Helena, AL, daughters Debbie Charlick
of Missoula, MT, Syndi Wynn of Longmont, CO, Becky Howarth of Westminster, CO, Suzi Clinefelter of Lake Oswego, OR, Missy Matney of Wendsor, CO, son Rick Dale of Bremerton, QA stepson Terry Stiles Jr., friend and former husband Terry Stiles of Altus, OK, 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Paul Jungers, and a step-daughter, Billie Jo Stiles.
A memorial services will be held on Friday at 1 pm at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Hone Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
