Obituary for John Allen Gilbert
Mr. John Allen Gilbert, age 74, of Altus, OK, died on Wednesday, May 22nd, 1968, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 26, 1968, Tims Chapel of Memories, 4:00 P.M., with the Reverend C. L. Abercrombie officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Mr. Gilbert was married to Nora who preceded him in death on April 13, 1968. He was a veteran of World War I. He had lived in the Altus community for 20 years and was a Retired Railroad Brakeman. He also belonged to the Half Century Club and the V. F. W.

He is survived by: one daughter, Mrs. Conrad Pennartz of Placitas, NM; one son, Allen J. Gilbert of Albuquerque, NM; seven grandchildren; one brother, Jim Gilbert of Eldorado, KS.
