John C. Bryant age 80 of Altus, passed away August 2, 1965 at his home. He was born August 22, 1884 in McKinney, Texas. He had been a resident of the Altus area since 1931. John married Myrtle Gatlin on December 15, 1920. He was affiiated with the Primatve Baptist Church.
Funeral services for John C. Bryant are scheduled for August 4, 1965 10:00am in the Tims Chapel officiated by Rev. Floy Griffin. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife Myrtle of the home, two sons, James G. Bryant, Arvada, Colorado; John W. Bryant, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two daughters, Mrs. Jim Darnell, Hollis, Oklahoma;
Mrs. George Kinny, Covington, Texas; 11 grandchildren, one brother, Regie Bryant, Pueblo, Colorado; one sister, Vergie Griffin, New, Mexico. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Jimmy Darnell, August 5, 1964.
