Obituary for John Daniel Ganoung

Funeral services have been set for Mr. John "Dan" Ganoung, age 70, of Roosevelt, who died Thursday morning of an apparent heart attack. Born January 10th, 1898 in Iola, Kansas. Mr. Ganoung had been a long time resident of Kiowa County. Until his retirement in 1963, he had been primarily associated with grocery and hardware sales in Hobart and Roosevelt.

Survivors include: his wife, Lola of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Anderson of Perkins, OK, Mrs. Les King of Cushing, OK and Mrs. Charley Ayres of Mulberry, AR.

A daughter, Betty Faye, preceded him in death in 1940 at age nine. A son, Stanley was killed in action during World War II.

Mr. Ganoung will lie in state in Lowell Funeral Chapel in Roosevelt until service time. Services have been set for 2:30 P.M.,Saturday, November 30, at the Roosevelt Church of Christ, officiated by Ardron Hinton. Burial will be in Roosevelt Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home in Altus.
