Obituary for John Ervin Choate
Mr. John Ervin Choate, age 74, of Altus, died Thursday, October 10, 1968 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at Tims Chapel, 2:30 P.M., October 12, 1968 with Brother Bill R. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under direction of Tims Funeral Home.

He was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and had lived in this area for the past six years.

He is survived by: his wife, Rosa Lee of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Whitsett of Houston, TX; five sisters, Mrs. J.W. Teague and Mrs. Birtie Welch, both of Decatur, TX, Mrs. Mae Matukaities of Bellflower, CA, Miss Elizabeth Choate and Mrs. Everett Bryant, both of Altus, OK; a host of nieces and nephews.
