Obituary for John Garland Colhouer
John Garland Colhouer, age 22, of Altus passed away Thursday, May 13, 1999 in Tipton, Oklahoma. He was born December 29, 1976 in Denver, Colorado to John Dillard Colhouer and Sherry (Stalnaker) Colhouer.
he attended East Ridge Elementary School and Travis Junior High school in Amarillo, Texas. In the summer of 1990 John moved with his family to Altus, attending eighth grade through his senior year at Navajo. Graduating with the Navajo High School class of 1995, John became employed by Petzold Services, where he worked for several years.
John's hobbies were baseball, fishing, and playing pool, but his greatest love was being with his family and friends. John was a member of the San Jacinto Baptist Church of Amarillo, Texas.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, May 17, 1999 at 10:00 am in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Ventonis and Rev. C.W. Ramey officiating. Burial will follow in the Navajoe Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include his parents; John and Sherry Colhouer of Altus, Oklahoma, three children, Jordan Skylar Colhouer, Braden Michael Lindsey Destiny J. Lindsey all of Tipton, Oklahoma, four sisters, Melissa Lynn Colhouer of Altus, Oklahoma, Samantha Cordilla Jackson of Natchez, Mississippi, Mary Faye Jackson of Cornith, Mississippi, sherry Lynn Hibson of Maryland, maternal grandmother, Margaret Leon Stalnaker of Ft. Wayne Indiana, maternal grandfather, Clifford Dale Stalnaker of Fairmont, West Virginia, paternal grandmother, Faye Colhouer of Friendship, Oklahoma, special niece, Christina Colhouer and a host of other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Virgil Colhouer.
