John Thaggard was born September 7, 1948 in Enid, Oklahoma. He was the son of Clifford C. and Lottie Marhee (Word) Thaggard. He died December 16, 2000 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

John had been a resident of Jackson County since 1950. He married his wife Kay, March 29, 1969 at the First Baptist Church in Altus. John graduated from Oklahoma State University with his B.S. Degree in Electronics Technology. He worked for Dresser-Atlas Oil Company for many years. He farmed and was an X-Ray Technician at Jackson County Memorial Hospital for several years. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus and was President of the Oklahoma Society of Radiologic Technologists last year and Chairman of the Board for the Society this year.

Johnna Michell Thaggard Blair, Oklahoma
4 Grandchildren McKinley Thaggard Blair, Oklahoma
Ethan Thaggard Altus, Oklahoma
Parker Thaggard Altus, Oklahoma
Hayden Thaggard Altus, Oklahoma
l Aunt Estelle Shepherd Muskogee, Oklahoma

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Camp Thaggard

Services for John LO. Thaggard are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2000 at the First Baptist Church of Altus with Rev. Keith Wiginton and Sonny Tims officiating Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
