John Wesley Murphey, 81, former resident of Roosevelt died Saturday at Southwestern Hospital in Lawton following a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm officiated by Rev. Dennis Yates. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Murphey was born July 31, 1908 at Headrick. He was the son of william and Pearl Murphey.


Survivors include one sister, Ann Armstrong of Roosevelt, Oklahoma.
