Joseph Benjamin "Dutch" Stafford, age 70, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away April 4, 1982 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Mr. Stafford was born August 29, 1911, in Martha, Oklahoma to Thomas and Nora B (Todd) Jefferson. He married Leona Setliff, August &, 1931 in Hobart, Oklahoma. Mr. Stafford was a retired grain elevator operator. He moved to Roosevelt, Oklahoma in 1927, moving back to the Altus area in 1949.
Funeral services for Joseph B. Stafford are scheduled for Thursday, April 15, 1982 at 2 pm in Tims Chapel of Memories, Altus, officiated by Bill Osborne. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Stafford is survived by his wife, Leona of the home in Altus; three daughters, Loretta Pierce, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Elnora Hampton, Mr. Park, Oklahoma; Danell Barry, Bristow, Oklahoma; one son Larry Joe Mustang, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
