Obituary for Joseph H. Hammett
Joseph H. Hammett, beloved father and grandfather passed away Thursday, November 26th, 1998 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born March 15th, 1915 in Lamasco, TX to the late Harve and Fannie Hammett. Mr. Hammett had lived in the Jackson County Area since the early 1940's.

On October 31, 1936 Joe and Hazel Butler were united in marriage at Bonham, TX. She preceded him in death May 27, 1989.

Mr. Hammett had worked at the Cotton Gin in Friendship, OK. He retired from the City of Altus where he worked in the Water Department.

**Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 1, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wise Funeral Home Chapel at Bonham, TX. Family will be having visitation Monday, November 30, 1998 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Wise Funeral Home in Bonham, TX.

****Local arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home. The family will be having visitation on Saturday, November 28, 1998 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include: one daughter, Linda Jo Hammett; grandson, Sean Butler; one sister, Lois Adamson; and his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hazel Hammett; two brothers, Bill Hammett and Hubert Hammett; two sisters, Elsie Womack and Jewel Wilson.
