Joseph L. Stallings age 60 of Carlsbad, New Mexico, died October 16, 1983 at Guadalupe Medical Center in Carlsbad New Mexico.
Joseph was born February 21, 1923 in Jackson County, Oklahoma to J. M. and Nina (Hughes) Stallings. He married Helen Willis in 1948. Joseph worked Underground Maintenance for Amox Chemical Company. He had been a resident of Carlsbad since 1958. Joseph served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints Church.
Funeral services for Joseph L. Stallings are scheduled for Tuesday, October 18, 1983 in the Chapel at 10:00am officiated by Bishop Dean. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Helen of the home in Carlsbad, New Mexico; two daughters, Diane Goins, Carlsbad, New Mexico; Gail Grosso, Albuquerque, New Mexico; tow sons, Bobby Stallings, Carlsbad, New Mexico; Morgan Stallings, Shepard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas; one brother, Durwood Stallings, Altus, Oklahoma; four grandchildren.
