Obituary for Joseph Purcell
Joseph Purcell of Altus passed away September 16, 1979 in Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held in the Tims Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am Wednesday on September 19th with Rev. C.L. Abercrombie officiating. Interment followed in the Altus Cemetery.

Joseph was born September 16, 1911 in Arkansas to Earl and Hattie (Hicks) Purcell. He had lived here for over 41 years.

Joseph Purcell is survived by three children Truman of Altus, Oklahoma; George, Vista, California; Irene Eades, Modesto, California; four grandchildren; one sister, Ellen Troxell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a close friend, Imogene Goodfellow.
