Obituary for Joseph Samuel Buck
Joseph Samuel Buck, 89, passed away Friday, September 10, 1999 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services have been scheduled for 10:00am Monday, September 13, 1999 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Sonny Tims officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Buck was born January 17, 1910, in Antlers, Oklahoma. He was a Drag-Line/Shover Operator and an Overhead Crane Operator for many years.
On May 15, 1930, Joe and Lola Mae McCullough were united in marriage at Elmer, Oklahoma. Mrs. Buck preceded him in death May 4, 1999. Mr Buck was a long time member of the South Ft. Worth Baptist and a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Altus. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Joe Buck was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lola Mae; and one daughter, Bettie Ann Buck.
He is survived by two sons, E. Joe Buck and wife, Marilyn, of Altus, Oklahoma, and Billie Wayne buck of New Orleans, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Mary Myers, Tina Cossey and husband David, Gregg Buck and wife Andrea, Brett Buck, Teri Philbrick, and Toye Mitchell and husband George; one brother, William Frederick Buck of Salinas, California; and one sister, Lucy Carmel Lewis of Yukon, Oklahoma. Also surviving are nine great=grandchildren, Stacy and Brayden Buck, Megan Myers, Whitney and Carson Mitchell, Abbey and Bennett Philbrick, and Jacob and Justin Cossey and many relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving guest at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Sunday evening, 6-8pm.
