Obituary for Joshua Allen Pendergraft
Joshua Allen Pendergraft, 38, of Gould, Oklahoma, passed away on September 13, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Josh was born on October 23, 1981 in Childress, Texas to Jimmy and Jacquelyn (Allen) Pendergraft. He was raised in Hollis and Gould and educated in Hollis, Oklahoma. He loved football and played as linebacker for the Hollis Tigers from peewee level thru high school. Josh attended Hollis High School and graduated in 2000. After high school he attended Western Oklahoma State College (WOSC) in Altus, Oklahoma and received his associate's degree in Radiologic Technology. He worked as the radiology director for the Mangum Hospital, the Glen Rose Medical Center and for the Sayre Community Hospital. Helping others in need was truly a passion of Josh's. He was even voted one of the Top 25 Radiologic Technicians in the state of Texas in 2013. Josh was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. His love for football only deepened during adulthood, he was the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan north of the Red River. He loved collecting Cowboy memorabilia. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family, but most of all he loved being around his daughters Julie and Jamie Lou. Josh's smile would brighten even the darkest of rooms and his laughter was contagious.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis Pendergraft, Georgia Fort and Jack Allen; Uncles, George Allen, John Allen, Jerry Pendergraft; Cousins, Marvin Pendergraft Jr, Tonya Pendergraft, and his best friend his dog Sassy.
Left to honor his memory are his Daughters, Julie Pendergraft, Jamie Lou Pendergraft and their mother Stephnee of Hollis, Oklahoma; parents, Jimmy and Jacquelyn of Gould, Oklahoma; maternal grandmother, Betty Allen, Brother, Jeremy Pendergraft and wife Kaesi of Hollis, Oklahoma; Nephew, Jaden Pendergraft and wife Megan of Gould, Oklahoma; Niece, Kalie Pendergraft of Hollis, Oklahoma; as well as many aunts, uncles cousins, and friends.
The Pendergraft family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Hollis, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
