Obituary for Joshua James Long
Funeral Services for Joshua James Long, age 15, of Blair, Oklahoma, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 2, 1996, at the Blair Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Blair Cemetery. Randy Mitchell and Paul Kennelly will officiate.

Joshua was the victim of a traffic accident on August 30, 1996. Joshua was born October 28th, 1980 in Fargo, ND to Jimmy Wayne and Deborah Jane (Heath) Long. Joshua had moved to Blair five years ago with his parents from North Carolina. Joshua was a sophomore at the Blair High School where he played right field and pitcher for the Blair Broncos. Joshua loved to hunt, fish and go camping. He was a member of the youth group at church and had been voted "Class Favorite" for the past three years at school. Joshua had also cooked for the Daybreak Restaurant.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Blair Baseball Team.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening. Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include: his father, Jimmy Wayne Long of the home; his mother, Deborah Jane (Heath) Long also of the home; one brother, Gary Wayne Long of Blair, OK; one sister, Brandy Davis and husband Greg of Blair, OK; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Heath, Sr. of Greensboro, NC and Ruth Mae Ayers of Eden, NC.
