Joy Faye Van Ausdall was born in Amarillo, TX on July 8, 1929, the daughter of Florence and Harry Van Ausdall. She was the youngest of four children: Harry ("Duck") Van Ausdall, Jr. of Silver City, NM, Charlotte Gruhlkey of Stillwater, OK, and Don Van Ausdall of Memphis, TX (deceased). She married Ernest ("Wash") Rollins of Hollis on February 7, 1947. They lived in the LaCasa Community until 1961 when they moved to Hollis where she lived the remainder of her days. Joy and Wash had six children, including two sets of twins. Randy and Cindy were born December 6, 1950; Dale was born April 13, 1955; Deborah and Davy were born in 1956 but died in infancy; Kent was born September 8, 1957. Joy worked as a teacher"s aide at Sallie Gillentine Elementary School and later as an EMT for Harmon County"she loved her colleagues and her service on the ambulance crew. Joy, Wash and Cindy loved to go square dancing and entertained many a card game around the kitchen table. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, husband, and a slew of beloved dogs and cats. Joy is survived by her brother Duck and sister, Charlotte, and her four children, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Children include Randy and Becky Rollins, and Cindy, of Tahlequah; Dale and Kay Rollins of San Angelo, TX; and Kent and Shannon Rollins of Byers, TX. Grandchildren include Julie Baker of Tahlequah, Jason Rollins of Hollis, Travis Rollins of San Angelo, TX, Braden Rollins of Decatur, TX, Krissa Hughes of San Angelo, TX, Tanner Rollins of Jacksboro, TX, Callie Rollins of Ft. Worth, TX, and Jeff Rollins of Hollis. She left a legacy of love and devotion and will be missed by all of her family and friends. The family thanks all of her friends who have helped her through the lonely years since Wash"s passing. Special angels include JoAnn Cansler, Mary Beth Williams, JoAnne Renteria, Alice Tankersley, and Mike and Dana Cary. They especially wish to thank Wanda Cary for her devotion, friendship, and caretaking. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to St. Jude"s Children Hospital in Nashville.
