Joyce Darlene Pascher Johnson, daughter of Verda (Dailey) Pascher and Raymond A. Pascher was born on January 17, 1947 in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away November 2, 2007 in her home in Altus surrounded by her family.
Joyce grew up on the Pascher family farm southeast of Weatherford , Oklahoma and lived there until 1958 when the family moved to the city of Weatherford. She helped with the family restaurant, Tiny Diner, while in high school.
She attended Weatherford schools and graduated from Weatherford high school. She was active in the school band, choirs and was a cheerleader through high school.
Joyce married Charles Johnson in 1964. They made their home in Leoti, Kansas for eight years and have life long friendships that were formed at that time. They moved to Altus in 1975 and have made their home here since that time. She was a longtime employee of Marlene's Hallmark here in Altus and at the time of her death was employed at Lady Austins.
She is survived by her husband of the home, one son Tony Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter Tiffani DeWitt and her husband Tim of Elk City, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Conner DeWitt and Dade DeWitt. She is also survived by one sister Raelene Amen and her husband Don of Weatherford, Oklahoma.
Joyce is also survived by two nieces Tina Blanchard of Horn Lake, Mississippi; Tammy Kelln and husband Chris of Fairview, Oklahoma; Two nephews Darren
Amen of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Bart Pascher and wife Nicole of Yukon , Oklahoma; two aunts, Margarete Dailey of Lawton, Oklahoma and Melba Dailey of Midwest City Oklahoma; one a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Diane Johnson of Altus, Oklahoma; nieces Donna Cornelson and husband Randy of Weatherford, Oklahoma; Gail Jobe and husband Bill of Tucson, Arizona; Kristi Kakouras and husband Theo of Elkin, North Carolina; Kayla Bearden and husband Rusty of Jonesville, North Carolina; and nephew Brent Bennett and wife Tracy of
Altus, Oklahoma. She is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Charles Pascher and one sister-in-law Linda Johnson.
Funeral services for Joyce Darlene Johnson will be at 1:00 pm Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus. The family will greet friends and family Sunday, November 4, 2007
from 6 until 7 pm at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
