Juan Gonzales Granado, Jr., 57, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Monday,
Juan Gonzales Granado, Jr., 57, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.
Juan was born March 16, 1953, in Acu"a, Mexico, to Juan and Cristina (Gonzales) Granado. He moved from Mexico to Altus in the 1970's. Juan worked at the Altus Cotton Compress for over twenty-five years. He loved his church and never missed a Wednesday or Sunday Service. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ramon Granado and two sisters, Faustina Granado and Gerarda Rangel, Juan is survived by one son, Juan J. Granado of Altus, four daughters, Kristy Martinez and husband Alejandro of Altus, Elva Alisia Granado of Dallas, Texas, Ashley Granado of Altus, and Perla Granado, also of Altus. He also helped raised Steven Molina of Olustee, Cassandra Alcorto of Altus, and Linda Burden of Ada, Oklahoma. Also surviving Juan are his brothers and sisters, Rodolfo Granado and wife Nora of Del Rio, Texas, Linda Ponce and husband Rodolfo of Plainview, Texas, Bernardo Granado and wife Eloisa of Altus, Antonio Granado of Altus, Reyes Granado and wife Lourdes of Altus, and Hervey Granado and wife Mary of Acu"a, Mexico; his precious grandchildren, Alexandra Martinez, Lucero Martinez, Alejandro Martinez, Adrian Martinez, Jazmyn Martinez, Augustine Martinez, Mercedes Granado, Angela Granado, Infinity Granado, Steve Granado, Ylexis Molino, Jada Molino, and Kyerra Osborn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services for Juan Granado will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 19, 2010, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus with Reverend Frank Maldanado officiating. Interment will follow at Victory Cemetery in the Victory Community under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
