Juan Tomas Lopez, age 63 of Snyder, Oklahoma and formerly Olustee, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Tomas was born in Brownsville, Texas on December 21, 1952 to his parents Enrique Reyna Lopez and Susana (Rodriguez) Lopez. He primarily grew up in the Olustee area, and on March 21, 1989, Tomas married Emilia Jasso-Garcia in Vernon, Texas, and they have enjoyed 27 years of marriage together. Tomas and Emilia lived in Olustee for many years and they have been residing in Snyder since 1998. He worked as a Project Superintendent in construction all over southwest, Oklahoma for many years. After he retired, he enjoyed working on small engines and upholstery. Watching Daniel Boone westerns, Bonanza, and many other westerns over and over, hunting, fishing, cooking, and watching OU football were some of Tomas"s favorite pastimes, but above all else he truly enjoyed attending his grandchildren"s activities and spending time with his family and friends was always treasured.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Enrique Garza Lopez; and Margarito Lopez; Tomas is survived by his wife Emilia Lopez of the home; two sons, Anthony Thomas Lopez of Atlanta, Georgia; and Enrique Lopez of Mangum; two daughters, Suzie Lopez and husband Lynn Dale of Altus; and Kathy Lopez of Oklahoma City; seven brothers, Santana Lopez and wife Lucia of Blair; Severiano Lopez and wife Rosa of Blair; Juan Garcia Lopez and wife Eugenia of Brownsville, Texas; Jesus Lopez and wife Rebecca of Altus; Sebastian Lopez of Oklahoma City; Andres Lopez of Olustee; and Moises Lopez and wife Michelle of Altus; four sisters, Stella Hinojosa and husband Antonio of Olustee; Raymunda Walker and husband Joe of Hemphill, Texas; Henrietta Guerra and husband Armando of Purcell; and Inez Bailey of Havelock, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Anthony Lopez, II; Sabrina and Christian Fixico; Blaike Lopez; and Enrique Lopez, IV; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.

Celebration of Life services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus with Pastors Jo Salazar, Abraham Salazar, and Morgan Adams officiating.
