Obituary for Juanita Bradford
Juanita Hall Bradford, age 100, of Duke, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in Hollis, Oklahoma. Juanita was born in Duke, Oklahoma on December 20, 1923 to Quint and Eunice (Lankford) Hall south of Duke on the family farm.
Juanita married Jim Curtis Bradford on January 3, 1942, in Altus, Oklahoma. She had known Jim since elementary school. Jim and Juanita enjoyed 65 years together before his passing on January 4, 2007, at the age of 84. He was a WWII Veteran, as well as a farmer and rancher.
Juanita graduated from Duke High School in 1942. She was a homemaker and worked as a United States Postal Clerk until her retirement in 1956. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Duke, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Woodmen of the World, Town & Country Club, Southwest Community Action, United Way, Riding Club and Bridge Club. She enjoyed visiting and singing in her church and at local nursing homes. Her hobbies included sewing, baking/cooking, working in her yard and playing dominoes, cards and board games with her family. She loved taking her grandchildren and great grandchildren on trips in the motorhome. Juanita had a servant heart and was always volunteering where she could. She had an infectious laugh that will always be remembered.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, her parents, Quint & Eunice Hall, brother, Vernon O'Neal (Pete) Hall and sister, Lorene Hall Linders.
She is survived by her only daughter, Deronda Warren and husband, Reid; three grandchildren, Brad Warren and wife Mary Jo, Todd Warren and wife Becky and Lynne Herron and husband Shanon; seven great grandchildren: Braden Warren, Kasen Warren and wife Kaitlin, Kalin Warren and wife Katherine, Garret Chambless and wife Rebecca, Lexie Phillips and husband Tyler, Lynzie Herron & Teagan Herron; five great great grandchildren: Beckett, Jett and Brynn Warren and Conrad & Corbin Chambless; her sister Nelda Fay Lane, along with many beloved nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The Bradford family will greet friends at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, July 18, 2024. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Pastor Gary Paul Baird officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Cemetery, North of Duke, under the care of the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
