Juanita Ruth Tabb, 69, of Altus passed away Monday February 28, 2000 at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born September 12, 1930 at Altus, Oklahoma to Walter C. and Mable (Mott) Chenault. She attended school in Altus.
Juanita owned and operated the Shirlinta's Cafe that was located in the Franklin Hotel for several years. She worked at Memorial Hospital as a Certified Nurse's Aide on the OB Floor. Juanita was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Duke.
She is survived by one daughter Shirley Coffey and husband Woodrow of Duke, Oklahoma, one brother, Bobby Chenault of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sisters, Christine Morrison and Mildred Halcomb both of Altus, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Wendy Coffey of Duke, Oklahoma, one great=granddaughter, Destiney Osborn of Duke, Oklahoma.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, W. C. Chenault.
Graveside Services are scheduled for Friday March 3, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at the Altus City Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
