Funeral services for Juanita Ingram Walcott is scheduled for 2:00pm Saturday, January 23 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Restlawn cemetery. Rev. Grant Groves will officiate. Mrs Walcott died January 20, at the local hospital.

Mrs. Walcott was born January 20, 1903 in Indian Territory near Tulsa to John and Amanda Ingram. She attended Talequah Womens Seminary, Kendell College and Cresent College in Tulsa. In 1923 she married James Clinton Walcott.

Mrs. Walcott was a member of the Olustee New State Club, Eastern star, PEO, Clionian Club, and the Presbyterian Church of Altus. In her earlier years Mr. Walcott enjoyed writing poetry for her own enjoyment, reading, collection antiques, and doing church work. Mrs. Walcott was especially proud of her American Indian Cherokee heritage. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Walcott is survived by her son Dr. James R. Walcott of Washington DC; two nieces and a nephew.

Mrs. Walcott is preceded in death by her husband, James (Clint) Walcott 7-15-1975; three brothers; three sisters; and her parents.
