Obituary for Julia Rosales
Julia Rosales, age 70, a lifelong resident of Hollis, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Julia was born in Mathis, Texas on April 12, 1950 to her parents Bernando and Celia (Herrera) Soto. Julia was raised in Hollis, Oklahoma where she attended Hollis Schools. On June 23, 1968 she married the love of her life Ricardo "Billy" Rosales and they have enjoyed over 52 years of marriage together. Julia worked as a caregiver and home health care for many years in the Hollis area. She was a longtime member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hollis where she enjoyed singing and fellowship with her church family. Julia enjoyed playing bingo, singing, and spending time with her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her Parents, Bernando and Celia Soto; three brothers, Johnny Soto; Ricky Soto; and Danny Soto; one sister, Sandra Soto Johnson; granddaughter, Michelle Ruiz; and her great granddaughter, Zaylie Victoria Nguyen; Julia is survived by her husband Ricardo "Billy" Rosales of their home in Hollis; two sons, Martin Felix Alvarado and wife Brenda of Hollis; and Richard Rosales, Jr. and wife Kenia of Texas; two daughters, Diana Rosales of Hollis; and Sophia Reyes and husband Grady of Hollis; three sisters, Esmeralda Cruz and husband Joe of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; Olga Cuevas and husband Willie of Hollis; and Patsy Jones and husband Buddy of Arkansas; 13 grandchildren, Monica, Lisa, Felix, Mercedes, Angela, Rosalia, Leahla, Richard, III, Bear, Julianne, Shanelle, G'gady, and J'da; 16 great grandchildren, Celia, Julia, Blayze, Lorenzo, Mauricio, Princesa, Long, III, Robert, Amelia, Eric, Timothy, Joseph, Cason, Caiden, Maribell, and Ivan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family, members and many friends.
Family graveside services will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis, Oklahoma with Father Arokiaswamy (Swamy) Andarias officiating.
