Obituary for Justin Ray Adams

Justin Ray Adams, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on June 4, 2025, in Altus, Oklahoma, after a life filled with creativity, passion, and innovation. Born on November 11, 1987, in Altus, to David Ray and Connie Adams. Justin spent his years embracing art, music, technology, and adventure, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

A gifted artist, Justin had a deep love for drawing, anime, and all forms of visual expression. His creativity knew no bounds, and he poured his heart into every sketch and design. Music was another great passion—whether it was electronic, rock, or rap, Justin found joy in the rhythm and energy of sound.

An active and adventurous spirit, Justin was involved in Dagorhir and Amp Guard in Kerrville, Texas, where he enjoyed camaraderie and competition. His dedication to martial arts led him to earn a black belt in Karate and Jujitsu, disciplines that reflected his strength, focus, and perseverance.

Justin was incredibly smart, always ahead of his time. In the early 2010s, he recognized the potential of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, diving into mining long before it became mainstream. His forward-thinking mind never stopped innovating—he was currently developing software designed to help those struggling with mental illness, hoping to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Above all, Justin had a deeply giving heart, always looking out for those he loved. He cherished his little brother, David Adams, taking him swimming, to the arcade, and teaching him life’s joys despite their 14-year age difference. His kindness extended to all who crossed his path, leaving a legacy of warmth and generosity.

Raised in the Pentecostal faith, Justin was baptized at the United Pentecostal Church by Brother Mounce, and his spiritual foundation remained an important part of his life.

Left to honor Justin’s memory are his loving mother, Connie Adams, and her husband, Marchleny Aziz Attalla; his devoted brother, David Adams; uncles, Steve and Berenice Gifford, Scott and Tammy Gifford, and Richard and Ingrid Gifford; as well as numerous cousins and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Ray Adams his maternal grandparents, Edmond Gifford and Doris Lee, and his paternal grandparents, Norma Teely and Fred Lee Adams.

Justin’s brilliant mind, vibrant spirit, and loving nature will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Rest in peace, Justin—your light will never fade. In lieu of flowers donations be made to S and PAA 2308 Mount Vernon Avenue, Suite 207, Alexandria, VA 22301-1328
