Obituary for Kate Elgin Newman
Mrs. Kate Newman, age 83, of 203 So. Grady, died Friday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services have been set for 10:00 A.M., Monday morning at Lowell Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dean Robinson. Burial will be in Altus City Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Survivors include: two sons, Hershel Hounshell of De Sota, TX and Lawerence Newman of California; two daughters, Thelma Wheeler of Los Angeles, CA and Charlene Ryan of La Puente, CA; one brother, Albert Anderson of Denton, TX; one sister, Mrs. Addie Teter of Altus; three grandchildren. Local survivors include a niece, Mrs. Mildred Wright of Altus.
