Obituary for Katy Floriene Dehtan
Katy Floriene (Bonds) Dehtan was ushered into the presence of her loving Savior on March 16, 2004. She was born on April 20, 1926 to James F. and Rachel Bonds at Duke, Oklahoma.
She is survived by two sisters, Mamie Myers and Georgia Baker of Dallas, Texas; three step-sons, Jackie, Donnie and Mike Dehtan; several step-grandchildren; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
She grew up in Duke and graduated from Duke High School with the Class of 1944. She moved to Dallas, Texas in 1951 and worked for Republic National Life Insurance Company. She moved back to Duke in the late fifties where she met and married Erron Dehtan on October 5, 1962. She later moved back to Dallas and worked again for Republic National Life until her retirement. She was residing at Rockwall Nursing Center at the time of her death, where she was a favorite with the staff.
Floriene was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers; two sisters and one step-son.
She was a member of Casa View Baptist Church in Dallas and was always a caregiver to her family.
The family wishes to thank the Rockwall Nursing Center for their loving care for her.
Graveside services were held at Prairie Hill Cemetery, Duke, Oklahoma, at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2004 with Rev Marty Barnes officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus, Oklahoma.
