Kimberly Sue Archie, resident of Altus, Oklahoma and former resident of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on January 16th, 2024 at the age of fifty-three.
On July 15th, 1970, Larry Parker and Johna Zint celebrated the birth of their baby girl. Kimberly was born in Amarillo, Texas. She grew up between the Oklahoma border and Amarillo, graduating from Borger High School. After high school, Kimberly went on to attend Western Oklahoma State College where she earned her Associate's before going on to Southwestern Oklahoma State University at earn a Bachelor's in Business Management. During this time, she was the receptionist at the JCMH Pediatric Clinic. After graduating from southwestern, Kimberly began working at the Days Inn, later moving to Hampton Inn in 2015. There she started in the kitchen before making her way up to the front desk. Kimberly was a dedicated employee, showing her hard work and dedication. This strong spirit is what made her continue the climb up the ladder until she became the Director of Operations. Kimberly was proud of what she did, she loved helping others and doing what needed to be done.
Kimberly married the love of her life and other half, Eddie Archie on August 13th, 2002 in Amarillo, Texas. From their marriage came their children and eventual grandson, who Kimberly loved playing with. She loved being a mother and grandmother, she considered it her greatest joy in life. Kimberly loved her family and spent as much time with them as she could. She would go to quartz cabin with them and make everlasting memories. Kimberly will be missed greatly by all who knew her. And by guests who visited her hotel.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her mother Johna Zint.
Left to honor her memory include her husband Eddie Archie of Altus, Oklahoma; her dad Larry and step-mom Donna Parker of Borger, Texas; grandmother Dorothy McIntire of Amarillo, Tx; Nana Betty Riley of Amarillo, Tx; son Michael Parker and wife Jennifer of Borger, Texas; daughter Shae'Leigh Johnson and husband James of Altus, Oklahoma; son Maalik Fields of Altus, Oklahoma; brothers Jason Parker and wife Rebecca of Olustee, Oklahoma, Justin Parker and wife Amanda of Amarillo, Texas; sisters Ceri Fisher and husband Andy of Dalhart, Texas, Michelle Moran of Salt Lake City, Utah; and precious grandson E.J. Archie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The Archie family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2024, at Lowell - Tims Home, Altus, Oklahoma.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Lowell - Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
