Obituary for Laura Effie Odell Jameson
Laura Effie Odell Jameson, age 103 of Altus passed away Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at Grace Living Center in Altus. She was born December 24, 1895 in Minco, Oklahoma to the late Simpson and Laura (Byrd) Huges. She had lived in the Altus area since 1961.


On March 7, 1912 in Sherman, Texas Laura and Jess Odell were united in marriage. He preceded her in death May 9, 1970. She later married Samuel J. (Pete) Jameson on September 11, 1974 in Altus, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death February 14, 1986.

Laura was a member of the Presbyterian Church sine 1922. She was a homemaker for many years and longtime member of the Senior Citizens Center.

Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, July 30, 1999 at 10:00am at Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Carl McCoy officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parent, husband, Jess Odell, husband Samuel J. (Pete) Jameson, one son John Odell, two brothers, and two sisters.
