Lauren Renee Avila, age 15 of Altus, passed away late Friday evening November 11, 2005 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital as the result of a four wheeler accident.
Lauren was born August 15, 1990 in Hampton, Virginia As a sophomore student at Altus High School, Lauren was involved in many school activities, including the Leo Club, KAY Club, track, soccer and athletic training. While in junior high and middle school, she played softball and basketball, in addition to being involved in other student activities.
As a member of First Baptist Church of Altus, Lauren loved praise and worship music and being involved in her youth group. Lauren could be called a "people person" who never met a stranger and one who never meet a stranger and one who loved people.
Lauren was preceded in death by her grandmother, Juanita Padgett and her great-grandfather L.A. Padgett. She is survived by her parents, Bobby and Juanell Avila; one sister , Brittany Howes and one brother, Taylor Avila of the home; her father, Eddie Crews and one half brother, Everett Crews of Virginia; grandparents, Melvin Padgett of Blair, Robert and Nelda Avila of Lawton and Dee and Gary Prillaman of Fayetteville, North Carolina; aunts and uncles, Dale Padgett of Hobart, Ricky and Tammi Padgett of Edmond, Jerry and Brooke Marlow of Purcell, Rita Johns of Olympia, Washington, Stacy and Darrel Combs of Altus, Lori Avila of Lawton and Jason and Alyssa Massie of Tyler, Texas along with many cousins and a host of
