Obituary for Lavena Savage
Lavena Kelly Savage was born March 6th, 1912 at Warren, OK. She died May 6th, 1994 in Altus, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late John and Beulah Kelly. She married Chester Savage January 14, 1933 in Altus and he preceded her in death September 27, 1976. She was a life long resident of Jackson County. She was a partner in Savage Electric with her husband for 33 years. She was a lifetime member of the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Monday at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Osborne officiating. Interment will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: two children, Ronald Savage of Altus, OK and Sue Kirkeby of Haughton, LA; six grandchildren, Larry Don Kirkeby and wife Gail of Maumelle, AR, Ronald Chester Savage Jr. of Ft. Hood, TX, Stephen Savage of Norfolk, VA, Derrick Savage of Altus, OK, Elizabeth Butler and husband Barry of Bossier City, LA and Stephanie Halbert and husband Darryl of Dallas, TX; five great-grandchildren, John Kirkeby, Ashley Butler, Allison Kirkeby, Phillip Kirkeby and Jennifer Kirkeby.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Chester Savage, 9-27-1976; her parents; 12 brothers and sisters.
