Obituary for Lavier R. Smith
Lavier R. Smith age 79 of Altus, Oklahoma died April 15, 1966 at Memorial Hospital in Altus. She was born October 14, 1886 in Jonesville, Virginia to Peter A and Miria (Lambert) Southern. She married Ira C. Smith October 12, 1904 and he preceded her in death April 7, 1953. She had been a resident of Oklahoma since 1900. She was a charter member of the Rebecca's and U.D.C.'s.

Funeral services for Lavier R. Smith are scheduled for 2:00pm April 17, 1966 in Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Rev. Gene Garrison. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Lavier R. Smith is survived by two daughters Virginia Bellenger, of the home; Nona Lee Kemp, Lufkin, Texas; two grandchildren, Mrs. Cherrie Voyles, Altus, Oklahoma; Hal Kemp, Norman, Oklahoma; four great grandchildren.
