Obituary for Leila Amanda Martin
Leila Amanda Martin was born March 6, 1895 at Hicol, Texas. She died March 14th, 1992 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She married Charley Martin in November of 1915 at Duke, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death in 1930. She was a long time resident of Duke and Jackson County having resided here since 1899. She was a homemaker and member of the Duke Methodist Church.
Services are scheduled for 10 A.M., Monday, March 16, 1992 at the Cottonwood Cemetery. Rev. Ed Crenshaw will officiate. Services are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: her husband, Charley Martin of the home; three children, C.L. Martinof Duke, OK, Milton Martin of Santa Rosa, CA and Gordon Martin of Carson City, NV; a sister, Estelle Waldron of Cement, OK; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: two brothers, Altus and Elmer Smith; three sisters, Florence Wilson, Dora Sears and Irene Rogers; her husband, Charley Martin (1930); two sons, Garvis and Byarl Martin.
