Obituary for Lela F. Miller
Lela “Kitty†Miller, 94 of Mangum, returned to her heavenly home on March 7, 2018 in Altus, Oklahoma. Kitty was born to Jesse James Meason and Hazel Syvilla (Hollis) Meason on March 21, 1923 in Greer County. She married R.E. “Pud†Wynn in 1937. Of this marriage three children were born; Waniece, Syvilla, and Frances. Her second marriage was to Wallace Stanley Miller in 1963, he passed away in 1998.
In 1949 Kitty received her LPN license, and her nursing career began at the old Mangum Hospital. She retired in 1996 from Dr. Lenaburg’s office in Mangum and Granite. Kitty was a licensed Lpn until 2012. Professionally and personally her life’s purpose was to help and serve people. Kitty’s life was Christ centered. She was a devoted Christian, Mother, and Grandmother. Her hobbies included going to church and helping people any way she could. Music played a big role in her life as well. She was a faithful member and beloved by her church family at Living Water United Pentecostal Church of Mangum.
She is survived by her three daughters; Waniece Bull, Syvilla Wynn, and Frances Wynn all of Mangum, Oklahoma. Two brothers; James and wife Lea of Muleshoe, Tx, and Charles and wife Jo Of Lubbock, Tx. Three Grandchildren; Kitty Lewis of Mangum, Monty and wife Teresa Atwood of Love Lady, Texas, and Glen Lewis of Gatesville, Tx. Seven Great Grandchildren and nine Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Kitty was greeted at the gates of heaven by her parents, her loving husband; Wallace Stanley Miller, four sisters; Laverne, Irma, Marda, and Marcella, and one brother, Melvin “Peteâ€.
