Obituary for Lena Belle Weddle
Services have been set for Mrs. Lena Belle Weddle, who died January 6, 1984 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack. Born March 16th, 1901 at Durant, Oklahoma, she married the late Bank Bennett Weddle who preceded her in death in 1971. Mrs. Weddle was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Spencer, pioneers of the Eldorado Community since 1911. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and extremely active in civic and professional organizations prior to her failing health.
Survivors include: one son, Ordrain E. Weddle of Eldorado, OK; a twin brother, Lether Spencer of Bakersfield, CA; six sisters, Lillie Cooper of Carlisle, TX, Gertrude Montgomery of Wichita, KS, Jewel Weddle and Pearl Caldwell of Eldorado, Ollie Carter of Levelland, TX and Lora Flemming of Kingston, OK; four granddaughters, Janette Springs of Eldorado, Sherry Adams of Whitesbrough, TX, Ann Benson of Porter, OK and Terri Keenum of Altus, OK; seven great-grandchildren.
Services have been set for Monday, January 9, 1984 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Eldorado. Rev. Don Ladner will officiate, assisted by Rev. Kenneth Coleman. Burial will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
