Lena Fay Kaufman, 87, passed away Saturday, November 18, 1995, at a local Nursing Home.

Fay was born November 14, 1908, in Farmersville, Texas to H. E. and Martha Jane (Tarpley) Tackitt.

On May 14, 1927, she married Albert Kaufman in Altus, Oklahoma. Mr Kaufman preceded her in death.

Fay was longtime resident of Olustee, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Olustee First Baptist Church. Fay was very active with the Youth Church Programs in past years. She will be fondly remembered as a wonderful, fun loving Christian, who was a very good example for the young people to look up to.

Fay was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert; one son and twin daughters; two brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Donald Briscoe of Olustee, Oklahoma, Alba and Ed Pierce of Denver, Colorado, and Norma and Raymond Ballew of Durant, Oklahoma; two sisters, Ollie Foreman of San Jose, California and Annabel Roach of Edmond, Oklahoma; six grandchildren eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Lena Fay Kaufman are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, l995 at the Olustee First Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Falknor officiating. Interment will follow at the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
