Obituary for Leonard Thomas Knox
Mr. Leonard Thomas Knox, age 93, pioneer resident of this area, died Thursday evening at Altus House Nursing Home.

Funeral services have been set for 3:00 P.M., Sunday at the Blair First Baptist Church, officiated by the Reverend Marshall Howard and assisted by the Reverend C. C. Gober. Burial will be in the Navajo Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born December 18th, 1881 in Grandview, TX, he had come to the Navajo/Friendship community in 1899. He was married at Navajo in 1906 to the late Lela Fritts who died in June 1969. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Blair Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two sons, C.J. Knox of Altus and Roy Knox of Blair; two daughters, Mrs. Vesta Wilcox of Blair and Mrs. Wanda June Taylor of Lexington, NE; one brother, Frank Knox of Altus; two sisters, Gladys and Zelva Knox of Altus; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
