Obituary for Leota Francis Warren
Leota Francis Warren, 97, of Altus Oklahoma returned to her heavenly father on August 28, 2020. She was born on November 15, 1922 in Gould, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her father B.R. Roberts and her mother Olivia Roberts, her husband J.C. Warren to whom she was married to for 54 years and her son Donald Ray Warren.
Leota is survived by two sons; Darrell Warren (Janet) and Ronnie Warren, four grandchildren; Amy Warren, Wendy Schellenberger (Mike), Jason Warren (Emily) and Jeff Warren (Dea), and nine great grandchildren.
She graduated from Gould High School and attended college in Altus. She was a good student, basketball player, poet, and musician.
She lived through the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. Leota loved the Lord and her family and friends. Always putting her family ahead of her own needs. She was a member of the Silver Bells Dancing Group and she also enjoyed sharing with those in local nursing homes. She also attended the First Baptist Church in Altus prior to ongoing health issues beginning in 2011.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
Funeral services will follow visitation at 11:00 am on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel with Pastor Doug Altom officiating.
Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery in Altus, Oklahoma under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus.
