Lesley Mural Kilgore, 72, of Vinson, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on September 7, 2024. Born on June 14, 1952, in Clinton, Oklahoma, he was the son of Charlie Chester Kilgore and Florence (Callins) Kilgore.
After completing his education in Mangum, Lesley proudly served in the United States Army for two years. In 2013, he married Dorthy “Katie” Kilgore, sharing two cherished years together until her passing in 2015. Lesley was an active member of the Red River Cowboy Church, where he found a strong sense of community.
A man of many passions, he enjoyed fishing, riding horses, working on the farm, and spending time with friends. Known for his kindness and warm spirit, Lesley never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Chester Kilgore; his beloved wife, Dorthy; his brothers, Milton Caton and Charles Kilgore; and his sister, Charlestta Chamberlain.
Lesley is lovingly remembered by his mother, Florence Kilgore; his sons, James Davis and wife Kara, Tommy Davis and wife Lalani Marayta, and Tyler Goodin; his daughters, April Davis and husband Rodney Hunter, Leslie Dale and husband Cedric Dale, and Stormi Goodin; his brothers, James Lemmans, Wilton Caton, and Benny Kilgore; his sister, Cynthia Caton; as well as twenty-one grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Lesley's legacy of friendship, love, and unwavering spirit will forever resonate in the lives he touched.
