Obituary for Letha Jones
Letha Jones, age 74, died March 17, 1994 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Letha was born July 12th, 1919 in Altus, OK, to Jack and Mary Johnson. She married Genis Jones and he preceded her in death December 4, 1983. She lived all of her life in Altus. She's been a member of St. John's Baptist Church since 1928. She served as the Church Secretary and also as her Sunday School Class Superintendent. She was a past-President of the PTA.

Funeral Services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. John's Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the St. John's Baptist Church. Funeral Services are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include: a son, Keith Jones of Altus, Oklahoma; one sister, Roberta Jones of Phoenix, AZ; three sisters-in-law, Kanzado Hudson, Anzella Griffin, and G.E. Jones; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; three brothers, Melvin, Jonas and Booker Johnson.
