Obituary for Lila L. McCombs
Lila L. McCombs, age 85, was born January 17th, 1909 in Warren, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late B.T. and Viola (Derryberry) Lacy. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County.
On December 19, 1925, she and Fred McCombs were united in marriage in Jackson County. She was a hardworking farm lady who worked beside her husband all her life. Mr. McCombs preceded her in death on August 30, 1985.
Mrs. McCombs was a loyal member of the Warren Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by one son, Delmer McCombs in May of 1971.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Church of Christ in Warren with Ardron Hinton and Charles Waugh officiating. Burial will be in the Warren Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: two children, Patsy Netherton of Stillwater, OK and Max McCombs of Othello, WA; two sisters, Lucille Willingham and Bonnie Hunter of Warren, OK; seven grandchildren, Keith McCombs of Altus,OK, Don and Brenda McCombs of Warren, OK, Scott and Donna McCombs of Warren, OK, Kristine Blanksma of Washington, Susan Netherton of Atlanta, GA, Paul Netherton of California and Jennifer McCombs of Othello, WA; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: one son, Delmer McCombs, May 1971; her husband, Fred McCombs, August 30, 1985.
