Lillian Jane Walker
Lillian Jane Walker, 85, passed away Monday, May 15, 1995, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Lillian was born June 22, 1909, in Hess Oklahoma, the daughter of the late William and Etta :Browder" Taylor. She was a life long resident of Jackson County.
In November of 1930, Lillian and Cass Preston Walker were united in marriage at Altus, Oklahoma. Mr. Walker preceded her in death July 17, 1975. Lillian attended the First Assembly of God Church in Altus.
Mrs Walker loved to quilt and spent many hours creating beautiful heirlooms for her family. There will be many fond memories come to mind whenever they see their quilts Mama made.
Lillian was the last of her siblings. She was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters, as well as her parents and her husband.
She is survived by four daughters and son-in-laws, June Joyner of Ft. Worth, Texas, Betty and Junior Carter, Gayle and Jesse Newman, and Joyce and John Goddard, all of Altus; eigth grandchildren, Connie Elhabr, Wilie Joyner and Karen Negron of Ft. Worth, Texas; Michaael Carter of Oklahoma City, Ken Newman of Altus, Ella Adams of Nachese, Washington; and Eileen Cofield of Altus; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
