Obituary for Lizzie Ardry
Lizzie Ardry, of Altus, passed away January 25th, 1991at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born October 25, 1902 in Whitesboro, Tx to Charlie and Laura (Reser) Jones. She married Pete Ardry and he preceded her in death in 1957. After having moved to Altus in 1943, Mrs. Ardry joined the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ and was a faithful member for the remainder of her life.
Lizzie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete Ardry; and one daughter, Barbara Ardry.
She is lovingly survived by seven sons, Harvey Ardry of Altus, OK, Eugene Ardry of Norman, OK, Tommy Ardry of Ft. Worth, Tx, Ray Ardry of Amarillo, Tx, Pete Ardry of Houston, Tx, Jack Ardry of Altus, OK and Cecil Ardry of Taylor, TX; four daughters, Aurora Sanders of Altus, OK, Nan Thomas of Altus, Fay Moore of Alvarado, TX and Patsy Bell, also of Altus; and one sister, Lucille Ozment of Jones, OK. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Services were held at 10:00 am, Monday, January 28, 1991 at the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ with Bill Osborne officiating. Interment was in the Altus City Cemetery.
