Obituary for Lloyd Lopez
LLloyd Lopez passed away July 25, 2018, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Lloyd was born December 27, 1956, in Crosbyton, Texas to Francisco and Tomasita Lopez. He grew up in Crosbyton, Texas, Homestead, Florida, Hollis and Altus, Oklahoma. He married Elida Moreno July 4, 1973, in Hollis, Oklahoma.
Pastor Lopez in his early years was a construction worker at 3-Way Construction and the City of Altus. He was pastor of Fuente de Salvacion and later Healing Water Ministries, both located in Altus. Healing Water is a non-denominational church created and started by Pastor Lopez. He was an evangelist of prison ministry for 30 years, did mission work to Africa and Mexico, community volunteer, feeding and clothing children , visiting and praying for hospital patients, mentor and adviser to other ministries, and servant of God. Pastor Lopez was a volunteer chaplain at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, Volunteer of the Office of Juvenile Affairs. His hobbies were visiting family and friends, playing the Guitar and singing, spreading ministering the good news of Jesus Christ, attending movies, golfing and traveling.
Pastor Lopez is survived by his wife Elida of Altus, sons Francisco Lopez, Fernando Lopez, Adam Lopez, daughter, Sonya Lazar, three brothers, Ignacio Lopez, Pedro Lopez, Pablo Lopez, sisters, Raymunda Medellin, Pifannia Bella, Simona Soliz, Ninfa Hutchinson, Lloyesa Brocca, grandchildren, Miranda Lopez, Kaden Lopez, Londyn Lopez, Ava Lopez, Esias Lopez, Bianca Ray Lopez, Xavier Lopez, Isela Lopez, Kevin W., Calvin W., Lila Lazar, Aiden Lopez, Lillianna Lopez and Addison Lopez. Pastor raised two nephews, Abraham Lopez and Narcisco Medina.
Services For Pastor Lopez will be Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Lowell-Tims chapel at 10:00 am with Pastor Bill Terrell officiating Burial will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
