Lola May Palmer
Lola May Palmer passed away Thursday, November 16, 2000 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born May 16, 1920 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Frank Lockwood and Goldie (Crabb) Lockwood. She had lived in Amarillo, Texas for many years, moving back to Altus several weeks ago.
Lola had worked as a seamstress in the embroidery business with her sister Maudie for many years in Amarillo, Texas before she retired. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Hazel Crone and husband L. D. of Odessa, Texas, Maudie Lockwood of Amarillo, Texas; two brothers, Milton Lockwood and wife Lorena of Altus, Oklahoma, James Lockwood of Altus, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Betty Lou Loftis and one brother, Dalton Lockwood.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, November 18, 2000 at 2:00 pm in the Altus City Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
