Returning to Mangum, Lonnie began working for Dr. Fred Sellers on his chicken ranch. In 1964, the family moved to Granite where Lonnie oversaw Dr. Seller"s hog ranch of seven hundred hogs. In 1973, the family moved back to Mangum, where Lonnie retired due to his health. Lonnie enjoyed spending his free time fishing and was a longtime member of the American Legion and the Granite Assembly of God.
