Lorine Belle Simmons, 75, passed away Friday, March 17, 1995 at Corn Nursing Home. Services have been scheduled for 10:00am Monday, at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Noel George officiating. Interment will follow in the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Mrs. Simons was born January 20, 1920 in Olustee Oklahoma to Carl and Ola (Watson) Willeford. She has lived in Southwestern Oklahoma all of her life. She married G.T. Simmons on December 24, 1937 in Olustee, Oklahoma, he preceded her in death. Mrs. Simmons was a housewife and had worked at Kellwoods for many years. She was also a member of the Olustee Baptist Church.
Survivors include children; Oma Skuggen and husband Don of Nekoosa Wisc.; Betty Luekenga and husband Ron of Colony Oklahoma; Beverly Toburen and husband Barrie of west Moreland Kansas; brothers Carl Edward Willeford of Altus, Oklahoma; C.E. Willeford of Vega, Texas; sister Velma Smith of Altus; Adelia Hughes Melton of Olustee, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by sister, Martha Marie Willeford; brother; Ernest Willeford, a daughter, Georgia Dean Simmons, parents and step mother; Essie Willeford.
