Obituary for Lorene Garcia
Francis Lorene Garcia, 91 of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Monday, May 7, 2012. She was born September 14, 1920 in Tyler, Texas to Lonnie and Myrtle Mae (Guess) Mann. She married Jessie Daniel Stover and together they had six children. She later married Johnny Garcia on October 22, 1964 in Abilene, Texas.

Lorene was a waitress in J & L Cafe in Altus for many years. She was an outstanding baker and was well known for her light and fluffy sweet rolls. As her son claimed, " You had to put a bowl over them to keep them from floating away!" In later years, she worked at White Swan Laundry in Altus as an attendant. Lorene enjoyed visiting with the customers as they came in and out of the Laundry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Myrtle Mann; her first husband, Jessie Stover; her husband, Johnny Garcia in January of 1988; two sons, Jessie Stover, Jr. and Bobby Lon Stover; one daughter, Reatha Ann Wallace; three sisters; and one grandson, Jason Atwell Stover.

Lorene is survived and will be greatly missed by her sons, L.J. Stover and wife Michelle of Bridgeport, Texas, Lawrence Stover of Rush, Texas and Norman Stover also of Bridgeport, Texas; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, May 11, 2012 at Lowell-Tims Chapel with David Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in the Blair Cemetery with Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
