Lorene Martha Riggs
Lorene Martha Riggs, 68, of Altus died at the Wilford Hall Medical Center in san Antonio, Texas Thursday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00am in the First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Keith Wiginton. Burial will be in the Brinkman Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, 1100 East Tamarack Road.
Riggs was born August 22, 1922 at Brinkman, Oklahoma; and was the daughter of Alex and Fadah Swyden. She married Earl Riggs, Sr. June 2,, 1948, The have been residents of Altus since 1960 moving here from Lawton. She was a Civil Service employee for many years a Tinker Air Force Base.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Riggs, Sr. of the home; three children, Fred B, Riggs of Las Vegas, New Mexico; Jana Lee Riggs of Altus, Oklahoma; Earl Riggs, Jr. at Humphreys, Oklahoma; two brothers, Phil Swyden, John Swyden both of Irving, Texas; two sisters Annie Moses, Willow, Oklahoma Janell Lupi of Lawton, Oklahoma; three grandchildren.
Mrs Riggs was preceded in death by her mother and father one brother, Fred Swyden.
The family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
